Senior Legal Counsel – Global Investigations & Government Litigation

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to lead internal investigations and manage government-related litigation in China. The role combines independent investigative work with strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders across compliance, healthcare, and commercial functions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct independent internal investigations on potential legal and compliance issues, including interviews, document review, open‑source research and preparation of clear, concise work products.
• Provide practical legal advice to internal teams on responding to government inquiries, investigations and litigation matters primarily in China.
• Advise on Chinese anti‑unfair competition, anti‑corruption, improper promotion and related life‑sciences sector laws.
• Support compliance training initiatives and facilitate timely identification, escalation and investigation of compliance and legal issues to the corporate Triage Committee.

Required profile

• Qualified attorney with substantial experience in litigation, investigations and regulatory compliance within China.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross‑functionally with healthcare compliance, commercial and corporate teams.
• Strong analytical, communication and report‑writing skills.
