Senior Audit Associate – Chengdu/Chongqing

About the role

Deloitte China is seeking a Senior Audit Associate to lead small‑to‑medium audit engagements for multinational and listed clients in Chengdu and Chongqing. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality audit services while applying Deloitte’s risk‑based methodology.

Key responsibilities

• Assume overall control of small to medium sized audit assignments, ensuring timely delivery and compliance.
• Deliver audit‑related engagements and, when required, accounting and taxation tasks.
• Build trust with stakeholders by understanding their expectations and maintaining independence.
• Apply audit tools, guidance and methodology independently to assess risks and perform substantive testing.

Required profile

• Bachelor or Master degree, preferably in accounting or related fields.
• Professional certification such as CICPA, HKICPA or other CPA qualifications.
• 3‑5 years of audit experience in a Big 4 or comparable CPA firm.
• Fluent in English and Chinese (Putonghua/Cantonese) with strong written and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and HK GAAP, with IPO‑related experience.
• Proficiency in audit analytics, data visualization and risk assessment tools.
• Digital dexterity and ability to adopt new technologies quickly.
• Advanced computer application skills.
