Security Manager – China (APJ)

About the role

The Security Manager will lead all physical security operations for Cadence in China, acting as the primary point of contact for risk management, incident response, and protective programs. This role ensures the safety of people, facilities, and intellectual property across a critical semiconductor and AI acceleration market.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily performance of guard forces and reception vendors, ensuring training compliance and documentation integrity.
• Coordinate with the Global Security Operations Center for real‑time monitoring, rapid incident response, and escalation management.
• Support the Regional Director in vendor governance, conduct performance reviews, and enforce contractual compliance.
• Design, implement, and roll out field security programs, SOPs, and training initiatives while tracking KPIs.
• Assist with budget planning, forecast expenditures, monitor vendor invoices, and provide financial insights.
• Collaborate with IT, Legal, HR, Facilities and other internal stakeholders to align security standards and drive cross‑functional engagement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in corporate security, law enforcement, military, or intelligence.
• Proven experience in security operations, vendor management, incident/crisis handling, and stakeholder influence.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin.
