About the role

DXC Technology is looking for a Backend Development Engineer to join its software engineering team. You will work on building, testing, and maintaining backend solutions while collaborating closely with senior engineers and other team members.

Key responsibilities

• Write, test, and debug code for backend services.
• Assist senior engineers in troubleshooting technical issues and resolving production incidents.
• Document software requirements, specifications, and design decisions.
• Participate in knowledge‑sharing activities and stay current with emerging technologies.
• Support the team in diagnosing and fixing production problems under guidance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience, including a minimum of 1 year in a similar backend role.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages and development methodologies.
• Strong coding and debugging abilities with a willingness to learn new technologies.
• Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
