Chief Security Officer (CSO)

About the role

Coins, the leading crypto brand in the Philippines, is seeking a visionary Chief Security Officer to shape and execute its security strategy across digital currency exchange, payment services, and global operations. The CSO will safeguard the platform, protect user trust, and ensure compliance with international security regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive short‑term and long‑term security strategy, roadmap, and risk appetite aligned with business goals.
• Establish and maintain a comprehensive security governance framework, including policies, standards, and procedures.
• Lead cross‑functional security integration (Shift‑Left) across product design, technology development, and operations.
• Build and operate a Security Operations Center (SOC) for real‑time monitoring, threat detection, and incident response.
• Oversee cyber defence areas: network, application, endpoint, cloud, and blockchain (on‑chain and wallet) security.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and compliance reviews, reporting to the CEO and board.
• Promote security research and adoption of AI‑driven threat intelligence, automated vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and SOAR.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in security for fintech or crypto organisations.
• Strong track record of building security governance and risk management programs.
• Ability to communicate security strategy to executive stakeholders and board members.
• Hands‑on experience managing SOCs and responding to high‑impact cyber incidents.
