Bank Teller

About the role

The Teller is responsible for handling branch counter transactions and system operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance and completeness in line with internal and external banking regulations. The role also focuses on delivering high‑quality service to clients while supporting the branch’s business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Execute all counter operations and branch transactions, strictly following bank policies, procedures, manuals and regulatory requirements.
• Perform daily start‑of‑day and end‑of‑day due‑diligence checks to guarantee no execution exceptions.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports accurately and on time.
• Support the line manager in achieving a strong MCA rating during internal audits.
• Escalate any operational anomalies promptly to minimise risk.
• Maintain required certifications and adhere to the bank’s job rotation policy.

Required profile

• Demonstrated understanding of local laws, regulations and SCB internal policies, with a commitment to internal controls.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work diligently to avoid legal, regulatory or reputational issues.
• Customer‑centric mindset with a focus on delivering excellent service quality.
• Willingness to participate in training programmes and continuously develop product knowledge.
