AP Specialist

About the role

The Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist will join Sandvik Coromant's Machining Finance team in Shanghai, supporting transactional finance processes and ensuring timely, accurate payments to vendors. This role collaborates closely with internal finance functions, the tax department, and external service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain vendor master data in the ERP system and support annual VMD reviews.
• Post all invoices, including three-way matches and non‑PO invoices, and arrange timely payments.
• Handle month‑ and year‑end closing activities, including AP account reviews and advance payment monitoring.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations and support tax department tasks.
• Review and improve AP policies, processes, and authorization matrices.
• Validate internal controls, assist internal and external audits, and act as a backup cashier for e‑banking payments.
• Prepare documentation for overseas payments, bank account updates, and auditor requirements.
• Audit expense claims, ensure compliance with G&H and travel policies, and manage VAT‑IN invoice lists.
• Provide training on AP policies and support internal investigations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in transactional finance, particularly AP, with solid knowledge of tax rules.
• Familiarity with at least one finance system used locally.
• Strong service orientation and ability to build relationships across functions.
• Fluent English communication skills.
