Senior Legal Counsel – Regulatory Law China

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel specialized in Regulatory Law for its Innovative Medicine business in China. The role provides strategic legal guidance and regulatory support throughout the full product lifecycle, helping shape business strategies and market entry models.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on complex regulatory requirements affecting innovative medicines in China.
• Support policy development, external environment engagement, and regulatory strategy implementation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align legal guidance with business objectives and go‑to‑market plans.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and regulatory submissions.
• Monitor changes in Chinese healthcare law and ensure ongoing compliance.
• Liaise with Chinese regulatory authorities and industry bodies.

Required profile

• Law degree and admission to practice law in China.
• Significant experience in regulatory law, preferably within the pharmaceutical or medical‑device sector.
• Proven ability to interpret and apply Chinese healthcare regulations.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin.
