About the role
3M is seeking a Portfolio Marketing Manager to lead the back‑end assembly transport material portfolio for the semiconductor business in Shanghai. You will drive new‑product introductions, shape portfolio strategy, and generate demand across key verticals such as automotive, AI and 5G.
Key responsibilities
- Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, building business cases, pipelines and launch packages for local hopper‑based solutions.
- Own the portfolio strategy, managing product, price, place and promotion while optimizing margins and supporting sales growth.
- Conduct market segmentation, competitive analysis and TAM/SAM studies to identify growth opportunities and create demand‑generation campaigns for OSATs, IDMs and fabless customers.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with R&D, supply chain, sales and applications engineering to define road‑maps, pricing, go‑to‑market plans and technical collateral.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Marketing or a related field; semiconductor packaging background preferred.
- 5+ years of product/portfolio marketing, technical marketing or strategic business development experience within the semiconductor industry.
- Proven track record launching products from concept (0) to commercial scale (100) and deep knowledge of back‑end processes and materials.
