Junior .NET Application Development Engineer

About the role

ABB is looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join its Application Development team in China. You will design, develop, and deliver high‑quality .NET solutions that support critical manufacturing operations and drive smart‑factory initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end development of core business systems such as MES, SCM, QMS, and IIoT platforms.
• Participate in business requirements analysis and translate manufacturing needs into scalable technical designs.
• Lead coding, unit testing, and integration debugging while ensuring system stability, security, and performance.
• Monitor post‑deployment operations, perform performance tuning, and respond quickly to production issues.
• Explore and integrate AI technologies—including machine learning, computer vision, and intelligent decision optimization—into smart manufacturing scenarios.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Approximately 3 years of hands‑on experience developing .NET applications.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex manufacturing processes.
• Proactive attitude toward continuous improvement and innovation.
