Director of Finance – Shanghai International Resort Zone

About the role

The Finance Director will lead the financial accounting, reporting and control functions for the Hilton Shanghai International Resort Zone hotel. This senior position is responsible for ensuring that all financial activities comply with corporate, owner, statutory and fiscal requirements while delivering accurate and timely information to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the hotel’s accounting records and financial reports, ensuring compliance with company, owner, statutory and fiscal requirements.
• Oversee the preparation and regular review of the balance sheet, performing reconciliations for all accounts.
• Maintain internal controls to protect assets, liabilities, revenue and costs, and ensure compliance with Hilton management and lease agreements.
• Control the hotel’s assets, liabilities, income and expenditure on behalf of both operator and owner, providing leadership for financial performance.
• Ensure legal, tax and insurance compliance, including management of pension schemes where applicable.
• Obtain and maintain valid permits and licenses for importation, currency transfers and hotel operations.
• Safeguard and update all leases and contracts that affect the hotel’s financial status.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, implement in‑hotel audit programs, and take corrective actions promptly.
• Develop and continuously improve best‑practice financial accounting and control procedures.
• Produce high‑quality management information, performance measurement, benchmarking and balanced‑scorecard reporting.
• Ensure corporate reporting is timely, accurate and internally consistent across all financial statements.
