Construction Manager

About the role

TE is seeking a Construction Manager to lead construction, renovation, expansion and relocation projects for its corporate facilities across the Asia Pacific region. Based in Shanghai, the role reports to the Manager of Global Construction Management and works closely with architects, engineers, contractors and internal TE teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily activities of large‑ and small‑scale construction projects from inception to completion.
• Schedule and conduct meetings with architects, engineers, contractors and internal stakeholders to define scope, plans, specifications, schedule, costs and critical dates.
• Perform site visits, monitor progress, ensure compliance with design drawings, specifications, budget and schedule.
• Maintain electronic project files, including progress reports, photos, budgets, schedules, bids, purchase orders and correspondence.
• Inspect completed installations, manage punch‑list items and obtain certificates of occupancy.
• Review and approve invoices, change orders and close‑out documents such as permits and as‑built drawings.
• Solicit and qualify contractors and subcontractors, maintain vendor records.
• Lead weekly safety meetings, conduct safety audits and enforce OSHA and local safety regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in M&E Engineering, Construction or Project Management.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in construction management, preferably in corporate or industrial facilities.
• Proven ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering documents.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
