Application Engineer – Power Semiconductor (RBCN/ME)

About the role

As an Application Engineer for Power Semiconductor, you will help develop SiC‑based power solutions and provide first‑level technical support to Bosch customers and partners in China. You will act as a bridge between customers and internal teams to ensure optimal system performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop modern power semiconductor solutions for SiC‑based products.
• Provide first‑level technical support for customers and partners in China.
• Lead design‑in activities together with Bosch FAE, Quality, Manufacturing, Development engineers, and product/project managers.
• Collaborate with customer development teams to drive cost and performance optimisation of products within customer systems.
• Translate customer pain points and use cases into system requirements for current and future product development.
• Prepare and deliver customer presentations, product/application trainings, and support product evaluation.

Required profile

• University degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3‑5 years experience as a Field Application Engineer or Development Engineer with power semiconductor products.
• Strong technical knowledge of system‑level automotive applications.
• Excellent problem‑solving ability for complex technical issues.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interface with customers.
• Ability to convert customer pain points into concrete SiC‑based solution concepts.
• Customer‑ and result‑oriented mindset.
• Native Chinese speaker with fluency in English.
