SoC/System Architecture Director - MPU & MCU

About the role

As a System Architecture Director you will lead the definition and development of MPU and MCU system architectures for industrial IoT, secure edge computing and automotive products. You will work across hardware, software and firmware teams to create robust, power‑efficient heterogeneous computing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Drive definition and development of MPU & MCU system architecture aligned with market trends and standards.
• Translate customer requirements from product marketing into detailed specifications for industrial IoT, secure edge and automotive solutions.
• Define scalable computing architectures, including multi‑core processing, memory hierarchy and high‑speed interconnects (e.g., AXI).
• Own program KPIs and lead performance, energy‑efficiency and thermal‑management optimization.
• Design and integrate security mechanisms such as secure boot, cryptographic accelerators and trusted execution environments.
• Collaborate with silicon, software, firmware and board design engineers to ensure seamless system‑level integration.
• Contribute to industry standards and drive innovation in MPU/MCU architectures.
• Document architectural guidelines and best practices for product development teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in microprocessor and microcontroller architecture, SoC design and system‑level integration.
• Proven experience with use‑case analysis, performance optimization, low‑power and real‑time design.
• Strong collaboration skills across multidisciplinary, multinational teams.
