General Manager – Luxury Hotel

About the role

The General Manager will lead Kempinski Hotel Suzhou, ensuring the property meets its revenue, profit, and guest‑satisfaction targets while upholding the brand’s luxury standards.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the work of process managers and department heads.
• Develop, discuss, and obtain approval for company policies with top management.
• Set operational guidelines for processes under direct authority.
• Prepare the annual budget and fiscal plan and present it to the board.
• Produce comprehensive performance reports for all departments and submit them for senior review.
• Recruit, train, and manage the hotel’s management team.
• Oversee overall lodging operations, guest‑satisfaction initiatives, and quality standards (LQA and company).
• Manage budgeting, financial controls, and business objectives.
• Lead projects, renovations, emergency responses, and major issue resolution.
• Maintain public relations with media, local authorities, and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in luxury hotel management.
• Strong track record in budgeting, financial planning, and achieving revenue targets.
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and lead high‑performing teams.
• Excellent communication skills for internal coordination and external relations.
• Capability to manage large‑scale projects, renovations, and crisis situations.
