About the role
3M is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead manufacturing operations at contract manufacturing partners. The TPM will bridge product engineering, quality, supply chain and operations to ensure scalable, high‑quality production from new product introduction through mass production.
Key responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing process development, qualification and production readiness for new product introductions, transfers and major changes.
- Define process requirements, operating windows, tooling and equipment readiness plans.
- Drive process characterization, IQ/OQ/PQ, validation, pilot runs and production ramp activities.
- Partner with contract manufacturers to build repeatable, scalable processes that meet 3M specifications.
- Own manufacturing performance metrics such as OEE, yield, scrap, downtime, throughput, cycle time, capacity utilization and Cp/Cpk.
- Develop KPI dashboards, control plans, SPC methodologies and risk mitigation strategies.
Required profile
- Proven experience in manufacturing process development and production readiness.
- Strong technical leadership and ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams.
- Track record of driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Experience managing relationships with contract manufacturers.
