Primary School ICT Teacher

About the role

As an ICT & Computer Science teacher for primary students, you will build a strong foundation in digital literacy, design strategies, data organization and common algorithms. You will prepare students for future AP testing and help them connect concepts across subjects such as art and history.

Key responsibilities

• Teach design strategies, data organization, and algorithmic thinking to primary learners.
• Prepare students for AP Computer Science assessments.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to integrate ICT concepts into other subjects.
• Foster meaningful relationships with each student to support personalized learning.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to a positive school community.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in the subject area (Elementary/Early Education degrees valued for Pre‑K‑Grade 5).
• Minimum two years experience as lead classroom teacher (visa requirement).
• Team‑player attitude with a commitment to high academic standards.

Required skills

• Strong ICT and Computer Science knowledge.
• Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java).
• Proficiency in block‑based coding.
• Familiarity with ISTE standards.
• Understanding of CSTA standards.
