Partnership Intern

About the role

The United Nations Resident Coordinator Office in China is seeking a motivated Partnership Intern to support its coordination and partnership activities. This six‑month, full‑time, unpaid internship offers hands‑on experience in high‑level policy dialogues, stakeholder engagement, and analytical work related to China’s development priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in organizing and coordinating major policy dialogues, high‑level meetings, workshops, conferences and partnership events, including logistics, on‑site support, and preparation of agendas, briefing materials, speeches and presentations.
• Collect, compile, analyze and visualise information on China’s key policies, development priorities and international development cooperation, contributing to analytical reports and knowledge products.
• Support stakeholder coordination with UN entities and external partners by consolidating inputs, preparing background materials and facilitating communication.
• Provide logistical and substantive support for training activities and high‑level UN delegations.
• Draft analysis documents, meeting notes and reports on host‑government policies, financing for development and humanitarian assistance.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or having completed the final academic year of a bachelor’s degree, or a graduate programme.
• Field of study closely related to international development, public policy, partnership management or a similar area.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities, with a keen interest in UN work and multilateral coordination.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Chinese context is an advantage.
