Paralegal - Corporate & Finance

About the role

The Beijing office of Hogan Lovells Cadwalader is seeking a Paralegal to join its Corporate & Finance group. The firm works with corporate clients and financial institutions on cross-border, multi-jurisdictional projects requiring corporate and regulatory advice, and also handles commercial matters such as contract drafting, legal research and analysis of laws and regulations across jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Support corporate work on cross-border, multi-jurisdictional projects involving corporate and regulatory advice.
• Support commercial projects, including drafting of commercial contracts, legal research and analysis of laws and regulations in various jurisdictions.
• Support corporate partners in Beijing and other offices on cross-border transactions, including due diligence, drafting, negotiation and research.

Required profile

• PRC legal qualification is required; an additional qualification in another jurisdiction (such as Hong Kong, England & Wales, New York or other common law jurisdictions) is advantageous.
• At least one year of legal experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese.
• Strong project management and organisational skills, able to manage multiple tasks and perform under pressure.
• Self-motivated, proactive and responsible, with a strong sense of ownership and attention to detail.
