Operations Specialist, Retail Origin Ops

About the role

Amazon’s Retail Origin Operations team is the front line of a global supply chain that moves freight from more than 120 origin ports to over 70 destination ports worldwide. The Operations Specialist will ensure smooth execution of retail direct‑import bookings, manage logistics service provider performance, and drive continuous improvement across ocean, LCL, rail, and air modes.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily booking processes and resolve exceptions within SLA, applying judgment when procedures are lacking.
• Build and maintain performance dashboards for logistics service providers, conduct root‑cause analysis, and lead corrective actions.
• Collaborate directly with origin LSPs, carriers, and internal teams to address operational issues and protect partner experience.
• Identify compliance risks, flag roadblocks early, and escalate time‑sensitive or regulatory issues.
• Lead standardisation and Kaizen initiatives to improve logistics quality and reduce cost at scale.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert for cross‑functional process improvements and support strategic programs and new business launches.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in logistics, transportation, supply‑chain, import/export operations, or data‑entry/administration.
• Proven ability to influence multiple stakeholders and lead cross‑functional initiatives.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data‑driven decision making.
