Materials Planner – Supply Chain & Inventory Management

About the role

The Materials Planner will oversee material planning and replenishment to ensure timely delivery of goods, optimal inventory levels, and alignment with customer demand. This position works closely with sales, procurement, and supply chain teams to drive forecasting accuracy and supply continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain inventory and service strategies that support customer requirements.
• Lead the S&OP cycle, improving forecast accuracy, lead times, and inventory levels.
• Analyze historical sales, order patterns, seasonality, and market intelligence to identify trends and risks.
• Monitor inventory versus demand, flagging potential shortages or excesses.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service to incorporate pipeline, backlog, and forecast data.
• Execute timely material replenishment, track purchase orders in JDE, and communicate with suppliers.
• Manage supplier claims, resolve delivery issues, and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects focused on efficiency, performance, and cost savings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in materials or demand planning within a multinational manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of supply chain operations, inventory control, and quality system requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, team spirit, and ability to work under pressure.
• Fluent oral and written English; basic financial knowledge.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Experience using ERP systems, specifically JDE.
• Familiarity with Power BI for data visualization.
• Knowledge of Python for data analysis (optional but advantageous).
