Maintenance Technician

About the role

CBRE is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep of small to medium‑sized buildings and industrial equipment in Shanghai. You will join the Engineering and Technical Services team, providing preventive maintenance, repairs, and assistance with equipment installations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
• Conduct routine inspections, diagnose issues, and execute corrective actions.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review work orders, track completion using internal systems, and ensure efficient operation of building systems.
• Support energy management by maintaining system efficiency.
• Inspect installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.

Required profile

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma (1‑2 years related experience).
• Physical ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders, and lift/carry loads of 50 lb or more.
• Capability to follow basic work routines and standards.
• Clear communication skills for straightforward information exchange.
• Strong organizational mindset and inquisitive attitude.
