International Business Leader Program (China) – Graduate Trainee

About the role

The TOP START International Business Leader Program is a three‑year, full‑time graduate program designed to prepare future leaders for general management positions at BASF. Participants will rotate through three different business units worldwide, with at least one assignment based in China, gaining both operational and strategic experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead business‑driven projects in an international, multicultural environment from day one.
• Collaborate with senior management and cross‑functional teams across multiple regions.
• Contribute to BASF’s growth by delivering results in varied business units and markets.

Required profile

• Excellent degree in business, economics, or related field (Master, PhD, MBA) with up to three years of work experience.
• Strong analytical mindset, entrepreneurial drive, and ability to work in complex, innovation‑focused settings.
• International exposure, fluency in English and Mandarin, and proven communication skills.
