Firmware / Software Engineer

About the role

We are hiring a Firmware/Software Engineer in Shenzhen to develop end‑to‑end firmware for devices that record physical labor, covering boot, camera capture, storage, upload and recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full firmware stack on collection devices, including boot, camera capture, storage, upload and field recovery.
• Bring up new boards, configuring clocks, buses (I2C, SPI, UART, USB), cameras, power and debugging using schematics and oscilloscopes.
• Develop flashing, factory programming and test software to enable high‑volume production.
• Create diagnostics, logging and host‑side tools for seamless data ingestion.
• Optimize firmware for reliability and throughput in harsh field conditions.

Required profile

• Shipped firmware on real hardware using C/C++/Rust and can debug with an oscilloscope and logs.
• Experienced with embedded architectures and IO interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, USB or wireless), cameras, storage and power management.
• Comfortable reading schematics and collaborating with electrical engineers on board bring‑up.
• Prefer building thousands of reliable devices over one clever prototype.
