DevOps Engineer – Alibaba Cloud & Terraform

About the role

EPAM is looking for a DevOps Engineer to support a global enterprise platform hosted on Alibaba Cloud. In this fully remote position you will automate infrastructure, build and improve CI/CD pipelines, and ensure stable releases across staging and production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reusable infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform.
• Create and manage CI/CD pipelines in Alibaba Cloud DevOps with YAML definitions.
• Administer and optimize Alibaba Cloud services to guarantee secure and reliable operations.
• Monitor environments, investigate alerts, and implement improvements for stability and performance.
• Coordinate staging and production releases, continuously refining deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot pipeline and environment issues together with development teams and stakeholders.
• Document best practices, standards, and contribute to shared DevOps initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in DevOps engineering supporting production workloads.
• Hands‑on experience with Alibaba Cloud services in real‑world delivery scenarios.
• Strong knowledge of Terraform and infrastructure‑as‑code principles.
• Ability to monitor, troubleshoot, and stabilize cloud environments using structured root‑cause analysis.
• Fluency in Mandarin and English for daily collaboration and documentation.
• Willingness to provide on‑call or escalation support when required.
