CM Site Leader

About the role

3M is seeking a senior on‑site representative to lead its contract manufacturing partner locations in China. The CM Site Leader will be responsible for overall factory engagement, operational execution, manufacturing performance and strategic partnership management, ensuring 3M’s standards are met and sustained.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary 3M representative at assigned contract manufacturing sites and maintain executive‑level relationships with partner leadership.
• Lead the on‑site 3M team (Operations Program Management, Technical Program Management, Operations Test Engineering) and coordinate with Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement and Commercial functions.
• Drive day‑to‑day execution against production plans, monitor key performance metrics (delivery, capacity, yield, quality, inventory) and act as the escalation point for operational, technical, quality or supplier issues.
• Represent site performance, risks and opportunities to 3M leadership and ensure compliance with 3M policies, IP protection and supplier governance.
• Establish operating mechanisms that promote accountability, rapid decision‑making and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in contract manufacturing or industrial operations.
• Strong ability to build and sustain executive relationships with external partners.
• Demonstrated track record of driving operational excellence and delivering on production and quality targets.
• Excellent communication and escalation management skills across cross‑functional teams.
