BPS & AI Engineer (Production & Digital Transformation)

About the role

The BPS & AI Engineer will act as the bridge between the production floor and digital/AI development teams. You will translate operational challenges into actionable AI and Business Process Stream (BPS) solutions, supporting continuous improvement and digital transformation across the Value Streams.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and clarify business needs from production, turning pain points into AI use cases and BPS improvement projects.
• Support the rollout and daily operation of AI tools such as AI assistants, AI‑driven quality improvement, and GenAI applications.
• Assist teams in using low‑code platforms (e.g., Dify) and Text‑to‑SQL tools to automate document processing, problem analysis and data extraction.
• Guide Value Stream members in applying BPS principles (tact, flow, rhythm) and facilitate fast‑track improvement events using digital dashboards.
• Provide user‑level training on BPS basics, problem‑solving methods and new digital/AI tools, fostering a digital culture on the shop floor.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in AI, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Practical experience in production environments and lean manufacturing (BPS) practices.
• Strong interest in digitalization, Industry 4.0 and AI applications.

Required skills

• Basic Python programming.
• SQL for data querying.
• Experience with low‑code platforms (e.g., Dify) and Text‑to‑SQL tools.
• Familiarity with GenAI concepts and digital dashboard tools.
