Analyst/Consultant – Restructuring, Turnaround & Cost Transformation

About the role

Deloitte China’s Financial Advisory practice is seeking an Analyst/Consultant to support clients through restructuring, turnaround and cost‑transformation initiatives across Guangzhou and Shenzhen. You will work closely with senior advisors to diagnose financial distress, develop strategic solutions and help restore value.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse client financial statements to improve liquidity, credit availability and shareholder returns.
• Develop and run financial models that support operational and strategic improvement initiatives.
• Apply knowledge of insolvency and bankruptcy processes to draft progress reports, manage creditor claims and resolve disputes.
• Use market‑leading technology to identify emerging risks and uncover hidden opportunities.
• Select appropriate data‑collection methods, perform quantitative analysis and present actionable recommendations.
• Maintain high ethical standards, manage risk and ensure confidentiality throughout engagements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Management or a related field.
• Professional certification (CICPA, HKICPA, lawyer qualification) preferred but not mandatory.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience, preferably in a reputable professional services or audit firm.
• Familiarity with restructuring, liquidation or related legal frameworks is an advantage.
• Strong analytical ability and commitment to delivering high‑quality client service.
• Excellent business sense, communication skills and a collaborative, self‑initiated work style.
