Regional EHS Manager

About the role

The Regional EHS Manager will support the improvement of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) management across A‑CMA (Monomers Asia Pacific) sites. This role also drives product stewardship activities in partnership with sales, marketing and technical service teams.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor latest EHSQ regulations and BASF Group requirements, coordinating implementation across A‑CMA sites.
• Collect and evaluate EHS performance data for BASF global reporting tools, including safety KPIs, leading indicators and carbon emissions.
• Initiate and facilitate continuous improvement activities based on performance analysis and trend assessment.
• Share best practices among A‑CMA plants, conduct gap analyses and internal audits for RCMS implementation.
• Coach new EHS staff and support competence development within the regional EHS team.
• Investigate high‑severity EHSQ incidents, focusing on quality and effectiveness of corrective processes.
• Partner with sales, marketing and technical service to develop tailored training on safe handling, storage, use and disposal of CM products.
• Provide EHS expertise to customers for setting up new CM product storage facilities and update trainer packages.

Required profile

• University degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or an EHS‑related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in large‑scale chemical production.
• Strong knowledge of EHS legislation applicable to the chemical industry.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
