Installation Supervisor – Offshore Projects

About the role

The Installation Supervisor will lead offshore installation activities for EPIC oil & gas projects, ensuring safe, on‑schedule delivery of topsides, jackets, pipelines, umbilicals and related subsea equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage offshore heavy‑lift and non‑routine installations, including topsides, jackets, pipelines, umbilicals, skids, tie‑in spools, risers and J‑tubes.
• Ensure all work complies with approved scope, drawings, engineering designs, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance to contractors on method statements, lifting plans and subsea installation procedures.
• Oversee tendering, engineering review, comment and approval of contractor deliverables.
• Participate in constructability reviews, SIMOPS, schedule risk analysis, 3D model reviews, HAZOP/HAZDEM and lifting‑plan workshops.
• Monitor contractor performance, manpower deployment, equipment movements and report any construction slippages.
• Identify potential bottlenecks, propose corrective actions and supervise a multi‑national workforce.

Required profile

• Higher National Certificate/Diploma or Mechanical Diploma from a recognised university.
• Minimum 8–10 years experience supervising offshore installation of EPIC oil & gas projects (wellhead platforms, jacket structures, pipelay, cable lay, etc.).
• Strong background in FEED and EPIC projects with ability to review/approve contractor deliverables.
• Excellent knowledge of offshore installation engineering standards, quality control, safety and environmental requirements.
• Proven ability to interpret method statements, inspection & test plans, schedules and drawings.
• Effective communication, conflict‑resolution and leadership skills for multicultural teams.
