Advanced EHS Engineer

About the role

The Advanced EHS Engineer will lead the development, implementation, training and auditing of safety and environmental policies at 3M's HF Plant in Beijing. You will work closely with the EHS team and plant personnel to ensure continuous improvement of the EHS management system.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct EHS self‑assessments, internal audits, identify gaps and develop action plans for continual improvement.
• Design and deliver EHS training programs for plant staff and serve as a resource for engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Audit safety and environmental programs, implement corrective actions, and drive ongoing EHS enhancements.
• Coordinate with government agencies to obtain required EHS permits for plant operations.
• Implement 3M EHS procedures and programs within the HF Plant and support new project risk assessments.
• Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analysis, and follow‑up on corrective and preventive actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an EHS‑related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a multinational manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with local EHS laws, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards.
• Strong communication skills in English and Chinese.
