Account Manager – Chemical Industry (China)

About the role

AVEVA is seeking an Account Manager to lead end‑to‑end account management for large, high‑profile chemical industry customers in China. The role focuses on driving revenue, expanding solution adoption, and building strong relationships with owners and operators.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve assigned vertical industry sales targets and quotas.
• Develop and execute industry development plans and scalable business models.
• Build and maintain a robust partner network within the chemical sector.
• Design and launch industry‑focused marketing initiatives.
• Analyze customer requirements and deliver tailored, efficient solutions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and proper contract implementation.
• Collaborate with line management to provide accurate updates and information.
• Maintain high contract quality and track cash collection.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of direct sales experience in a relevant field.
• Solid domain knowledge of the chemical industry; a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive work attitude.
• Strong cross‑team and inter‑departmental collaboration capabilities.
• Proficient English reading and writing skills (preferred).

Required skills

• Proven expertise in selling software solutions to Owner/Operator customers in the China market.
• Demonstrated track record of successful direct sales performance.
